Hello, how are you today? That’s good to hear.
So, let’s talk about the world of “Fashion”. Have you ever asked yourself, “how far back does fashion go?”
Yes, no? Well, let’s take a dive into it.
Come take a ride, with me, back to the 20th century. The 1980’s to be exact. What do you remember about that decade? I’ll wait. . . You give up? I’ll tell you.
1980’s fashion was shoulder pads, power suits, as well as, bold colors and patterns.
What else in fashion was memorable? Let’s see. . .
How about power dressing? It began dominating the decade. It reflected a shift in women working in high-powered positions and using fashion to be taken seriously. Padded shoulders and bold accessories made up this look.
To name a few women of the 80’s that defined “Fashion” at its best. ie. “Fashion” icons.
Princess Diana, one of the most enduring icons of the 80’s. The world took a hold of her fashion style and trends throughout the decade.
Whitney Houston, the woman with the angelic voice. Her style was merging power suits with high-fashion glamour and sequins.
While, Tina Turner & Cher, embraced daring, high-glamour stage wear, including sequins and leather.
Now that’s what I call, going down memory lane.
