A Trip Around the World

Written by Tarék | March 24, 2026

You ever think of booking a flight to fly across an ocean? You ever get as close as to checking flight costs and completing the prompts to book and pay for said flight? Then you stop, laugh it off, and blame it on reality as to why you couldn’t book? Don’t do that. Never limit yourself. Don’t put off for tomorrow things you can execute today. I mean, if it is truly unreachable, Press the Pause Button. Make a plan, set a goal, pay for that flight, and take a trip around the world.

Sweden sounds nice. This country is full of history. The land’s historical recordings date back to B.C. years. That part, alone, is amazing.

However, today, you could enjoy spectacular scenes such as. . . the Icehotel? Wait – – what? Is this a thing?

The Icehotel is located in Jukkasjärvi, 200km (125 mi)
in the northern Arctic Circle in Swedan’s Lapland.

Oh, and I learned, there is a recovered sunken war ship (Vasa) that is about 90% intact. Gustavus Adolphus, the King of Sweden, ordered the construction of the Vasa. The construction took place at the navy yard in Stockholm and lasted roughly one year 1626-1627. It was part of the military expansion. A war with Poland-Lithuania was initiated (1621-1629). This, soon-to-be, 400 year old vessel’s location was noticed in the late 1950 and recovered in 1961. Today, the ship can viewed in the Vasa Museum in the Royal National City Park in Stockholm.

One of the wonders of Malmö is that of the Turning Torso. Designed by architect, structural engineer, sculptor and painter Santiago Calatrava. This construct opened in 2005, the 27th of August. This beauty has a height of 190 m (620 ft) with 54 stories and 147 apartments. It was once the tallest construct in the Nordic Region until September 2022.

Sweden is home of 30 national parks with eight dating back to 1909.

There is so much to experience in Sweden. Amazing art galleries, museums, wonderfully constructed cities, beautiful landscaped parks, and most notably, the Nobel Prize ceremonies which will always and forever be held on December 10.

You don’t need me to tell you it is time to travel, however, I’m sure it helps.

Go! Get lost in the world. Experience the undiscovered. Perhaps you’ll begin in Sweden.
