The Birthstone of May. One of my favorite colors, so vibrant and beautiful. The Emerald.
The meaning of the Stone is long associated with rebirth, renewal, love and wisdom. It also symbolizes the lushness of spring, and it’s believed to bring the wearer intelligence, quick-wittedness, and emotional balance.
Facts and History. Queen Cleopatra had a love for the gem, she even claimed ownership of Egypt’s mines to supply her royal collection. Do you know that, unlike diamonds, emeralds contain tiny fractures and imperfections, often called a jardin (French for garden). Colombia is considered to be the top source to get the gem, followed by Zambia and Brazil.
Blessings and Positive vibes. Thanks for tuning into another great post.
